Vaasa’s unique biogas buses featured during EnergyWeek 2018

Vaasa’s unique biogas buses and biogas production will be presented to over 4 000 international guests and energy experts during EnergyWeek 2018.

EnergyWeek’s Sustainable Driving Event will be held on the market square on Wednesday 21 March from 12–17. The event will include presentations of biogas buses and the biogas passenger car used by Mayor Tomas Häyry in his daily work.

Vaasa’s biogas bus project is the first of its kind in Finland. – It contributes significantly to the introduction of domestic clean technology throughout the region, both in terms of biogas production, distribution and transport use. We have received a national honorary mention from Motiva because of our introduction and development of cleantech, says public transport planner Lotta Rautio from Vaasa city.
