Energy Lab

Research in the energy sector at the University of Vaasa has taken a big step forward with a new laboratory opening on the campus

The laboratory is named EnergyLab or Vaasa Energy Business Innovation Centre (VEBIC). The laboratory is a response to companies’ growing need for training and research in the energy sector, and is a first step towards a larger energy technology park in Vaasa. The property offers three large engine laboratories, and a laboratory for environmental and geothermal energy. The focus of research is partly renewable fuels, electrical systems for engines and power plants, as well as on reducing emissions and waste energy.
