We are hiring an EU Affairs Manager for a permanent position to join our team of experts.

As an EU affairs manager, you promote the use of EU funding for the benefit of the energy cluster.

In addition to a university degree suitable for the position, successful performance of the position requires a development-oriented attitude, good networking skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing, especially in English.

You are the person we are looking for if you are an expert in international EU project funding with a proven track record of successfully managed preparation processes and experience in managing international projects.

As an EU Affairs manager

You monitor closely policy developments and provide timely and relevant updates on EU decisions on funding opportunities, work programmes and calls, that are relevant for the region’s innovation ecosystem.

You activate and raise interest locally to promote the use of EU funding for the benefit of the energy cluster.

You develop and maintain strong working relationships with the actors of our innovation ecosystem. You help the ideators to find suitable funding programmes and proposals, promoting the ideas all the way through to funding applications.

You cooperate closely with WFEO, EUTI, VTT, and other relevant actors.

You participate in networking activities within Europe according to the work plan.

You have good opportunities to influence your work and we have an innovative work community where a development-oriented attitude and new ideas are welcome.

Your office is in Vaasa Airport Park, remote work is possible by agreement.

The work involves some travel.
